Singita 109-7035 wallpaper – Ardmore

Singita 109-7035 wallpaper is from the charming and stylish new range of wallpapers and borders in collaboration with Ardmore Ceramic Art celebrating African traditions and culture.

Singita, which means ‘Place of Miracles’ is truly just that!  This rich and fabulously patterned forest design has been painstakingly and charmingly hand painted using the decorative plant motifs and foliage which adorn the painted dishes and bowls created by Ardmore artists over the years. This rich tapestry-like paper with its glimpses of artist, Alex Sibande’s enigmatic animal travellers strolling through the undergrowth, will create a luxurious backdrop to any interior.
Interior image features Singita 109/7035 wallpaper.

Colour palettes are drawn from the natural landscape: from the chalky, ochred desert plains and sun-bleached shimmering outcrops to the vibrant fresh greens of water-kissed rainforests and exotic colourings of native flora and fauna. The result, a strikingly sophisticated collection of wallpapers that includes soft and subtle explorations of the majestic landscape as well as colourful creations capturing the vibrancy of traditional African culture.

The Savuti is one of Africa’s most loved and well known national parks where hoopoes and hornbills call and sing whilst baboons and chameleons sun themselves in flowering Coral Trees. This wonderful African garden has been recreated as a wallpaper in seven colourful and distinctive colourings each offering a different look – a bright orange and charcoal with a monotone engraved feel – a duck egg and old stone with a more faded and antique illustrative tones, and a series of three brightly coloured more child-like colourings on grounds of cram, dark petrol and khaki.

Cole & Son was founded in 1875 by John Perry, the son of a Cambridgeshire merchant.   Situated in Islington in north London, the business was built and developed in an area famous for the 190 hand block printing factories, working there in both the 18th and 19th centuries.

From these early beginnings, Cole & Son have moved to their current position in the wallpaper industry and continue to develop in the spirit of innovation and development, that began over a 130 years ago.

Singita 109-7035 wallpaper is manufactured in rolls 10m long x 70cms wide with a 102.5cms half drop,  pattern repeat.   These wallpapers are wipeable and have good light fastness.
